    Ask
Mango Asks: If Fear Street isn't real, then why does Shadyside High exist?
  • R.L.
    Says
R.L. Stine Answers:There are several real towns named Shadyside. I know of a Shadyside Ohio and a Shadyside Pennsylvania. But I didn't know about them when I started Fear Street. I thought I was making the name up for my imaginary town.

  • R.L.

You can make student films of my stories. But you cannot show your film for money, and you cannot submit your film to festivals until you have written permission from the publisher.

Ashley Asks:Is it okay if I send you a scary short story that I wrote?
